“Doing what it takes to be the best we can be” – Passionate – Hands On – Detailed
The name Besanko is one synonymous within the thoroughbred industry having stabled many great horses on its quarters now for over half a century. Although their family dynasty within the Sport Of King’s dates back to some of the earliest on record, they’re current operation is nothing old fashioned - perceived as one of the leading proactive and forward thinking operations.
Not surprising based on his ‘bloodlines’, Ray has spent a lifetime in the game. Beginning with a childhood geared around the racing circles – as they say Ray was ‘bitten by the racing infectious bug’ and his path was chosen. Having the fortunate opportunity to learn from his Grandfather and Father and absorb first-hand the life of a successful trainer, Ray continues to draw on there influences day in – day out.
Having set-up a new property at Pearcedale, Victoria – horses at Besanko Racing are guaranteed the best of both worlds with access to the hustle and bustle of the first-class Cranbourne Training Complex whilst going home to open and safe posted rail paddocks to take in the natural ambience.
