It was a joy and a relief to see Takoda break his maiden in such convincing fashion on Tuesday at Geelong.
The promising son of "myboycharlie" having been so desperately unlucky at his previous outings. It was a much deserved and overdue win for his more then patient owners. Making up for a recent run of bad luck with a gutsy performance Ray said;
"He has always been thereabouts, he is usually in the first four or five but has been pretty unlucky."
"He has been up for along time but the horse thrives on racing; he is happy in himself and there are plenty more races around for him. I am sure he will continue to be competitive."
"He shows all the signs of a promising stayer and I have no doubt he will be a handy horse next time in".
